Our Story
In 1997 a small tribe settled at the foot of the majestic Magaliesberg Range. Following in the footsteps of the Matabele people, who called the nearby mountain Cashan, meaning ‘in the distance’, the new tribe decided to name itself Kashan Advertising. Inspired by the fact that wherever the Matabele found themselves, the mountain was always visible, the new Kashan tribe pledged to always keep its communication and operations transparent and open and provide direction and guidance to those it serves.
Today, more than two decades later – like the Matabele warriors who had hunted with dexterity and skill – we live and work with purpose and never miss a target.
Our Tribe
- Kashan Advertising is a wholly women-owned business and holds a Level 2 (EME) BEE accreditation.
- Like the mountain our company was named after, our tribe continues to strengthen in terms of senior professional expertise, while staying small to ensure exceptional attention to detail, transparent communication and create the sincere and approachable client relationships that mark an all-female leadership.
- Our in-house writers and editors have in-depth knowledge of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), applicable King reporting requirements the Public Finance Management Act, the Companies Act and National Treasury reporting requirements, but also understand the requirements of integrated reporting – both from a regulatory framework, as well as a shareholder perspective.
- Our designers are specialists in creating visually pleasing, consistent and accurate design and layout of information, including data-rich infographics and pictographs that ease readability and promote stakeholder understanding and engagement.
- We have longstanding relationships with all our suppliers who are handpicked based on stringent criteria, including quality of supply, ability, reliability, affordability and compliance with employment and B-BBEE legislation.
